One of the best collectibles from the 1992 baseball season is this complete 24-card limited edition set issued by Barry Colla Photogaphy. Each card features a high gloss, full-color photograph with official San Diego Padres 1992 All-Star Game logo and player name on the front. The back also carries a full-color player photo, his All-Star statistics and other pertinent baseball information as well as the logos of MLB and Barry Colla Photography. Truly one of the most attractive sets - All Stars or not - ever produced.

All cards have been scanned, front and back. The buyer will receive an unopened, factory-sealed set.

Each set is a true Numbered, Limited Edition

Card size is the modern standard (2-1/2" by 3-1/2") and the first card of the set carries a unique number (to 25,000) making the set quite exclusive. (The number is located near the center/left of the card back.) 

Colla's Set features 15 of the 16 position player starters!

The cards, while featuring All-Stars only, have a distinctively California flavor. After all, the All-Star Game that year was played in San Diego. Still, there can be little quibbling with player selection. Of the starting 16 position players, only Pittsburgh outfielder Andy Van Slyke is not included in the set. Fourteen American Leaguers are included to ten Nationals.

A brief re-cap of the 1992 All-Star Game

For those who may have forgotten, the American League won the 1992 Classic in an uncharacteristic 13-6 thumping of the senior circuit. The junior loop made 19 base hits (to the NL's dozen), each team made an error and Ken Griffey, Jr. of the Seattle Mariners was named the game's Most Valuable Player. Boston Red Sox great Ted Williams, a San Diego native, threw the ceremonial first pitch. It was a memorable event, indeed, and this set is definitely a keeper!
