Item Description

Briwax Original is formulated with fast drying, stronger solvents which speed up drying and also increase the cleaning ability of the wax slightly. This means that it will renovate older dirtier furniture and leave you with the deep grain enriching Briwax shine. Unsealed wooden surfaces should be smooth, dry and clean. 

Apply Briwax using a lint free cloth or 0000 Steel Wool, thoroughly working the wax into the grain. Once dry, buff to desired finish with a clean soft cloth. Improved shine and durability can be achieved by first sealing the surface with Briwax Sanding Sealer. 

For antiques and pre-finished furniture, first check compatibility, then apply Briwax in small areas with a clean soft cloth. 

The Briwax finish can be maintained by further applications which will give increased hardness and shine.

This product is not recommended for use in areas where it will come into contact with water. Above 20°C, Briwax will soften and liquify. Replace lid, put in a cool place and it will return to its original state.

Product Briwax Original Wax Polish – Clear and range of colours 

Type A traditional formulation using only refined Natural Beeswax and Carnauba Wax. 

Intended Use Provides a natural sheen to sealed wood. Used for restoration of antique furniture. Always check compatibility with antique furniture and pre-finished furniture. 

Special Features Revives the natural colour of wood and enriches the patina of all good furniture. 

Preparation The surface must be clean and dry. Briwax Original Polish can be used on previously waxed surfaces. For best results initially clean the surface with Briwax Wax Polish Remover. 

Application Apply to the surface with a soft lint free cloth or 0000 Briwax Steel Wool working with the grain. Once dry, buff with lint free cotton cloth to achieve the desired finish. 

Coats One coat is usually sufficient but a second coat may be applied to obtain a higher sheen. 

Drying Time Quick drying. 

Re-coating Time Re-apply if required after a few minutes.

Maintenance Re-apply when necessary. 

Compatibility Compatible with French Polish-type timber finishes. For best results and to prevent a blotchy appearance timber should always be previously sealed with Briwax Danish Oil or Shellac Sanding Sealer. Note; the product is not designed for use in areas where it will come into contact with water or heat.

Shelf-life/Storage A very long time if stored in original container tightly sealed in a cool dry place.

Clean-Up Hands and application cloth can be cleaned in warm soapy water.

The goods must be returned to us within 28 days of receiving your item. The return postage is refundable. Please ensure they are returned in re-saleable condition and with all original packaging and protective bags, however small. Once we have received the goods back a full refund will be issued through Paypal.
