Cable Construction

The live and neutral are individually insulated and the earth is bare.  The Live and Neutral are insulated in blue/brown coloured PVC insulation.  The overall bundle of wires is insulated in a grey PVC outer casing.  The 2.5 mm cables have a solid copper conductive wire construction.

Common Cable Uses

2.5 mm is most commonly used for socket ring mains, plugs, external sockets and radial socket wiring.
