Circa 1970s Golf Course Scorecard

Bangphra Golf Course

Chonburi, Thailand

The unused Bangphra Golf Course score card measures 7 x 5 inches, paper stock, faint crease at lower right tip otherwise in very good condition. Local Rules and small inset diagram of the course printed on the scorecard.

It came for a large lot of golf scorecards belonging to George Richardson who was employed by Del Monte Corporation at their pineapple plantation in Wahiawa, Hawaii. In 1957, Del Monte transferred him to the Philippines where he worked at the vast pineapple plantation in the highlands of Bukidnon province in northern Mindanao. This is where he learned to play golf and was instrumental in designing nine new holes for the Del Monte golf Course.

A rare scorecard, it will welcome addition to your collection.
