You are Viewing a pair of 1926 J B Hirsch 6 1/2 inch "Lady in Waiting, Wait Here" Bookends.

These are by the great J.B. Hirsch Foundry of Bridgeport, Connecticut, circa 1926 and some of the hardest to find of all Hirsch bookends.

These are made of pot metal or spelter with the richest gilded verdigris finish, like aged bronze, and with handpainted features on celluloid or ivorene faces and chests, separately cast and carved.

The features have red lips and blue eyes and are still intact and just beautiful.

They sit proudly on carrera marble black and white square bases.

They measure 6 1/2 inches tall and weigh about 6 pounds for the pair.

They are in excellent condition (Probably the best that you will find) with minute paint loss on the edge of the bonnet and sleeves. They both have a felt pad on the bottom.

PAYMENT: Must be received within 7 days of auction closing date. Items paid through Paypal will only be shipped to the address registered with Ebay/Paypal. If you wish to have an item shipped to a different address, you must email me first and receive a confirmation of your request. OTHERWISE, The item will be shipped to the registered address ONLY.

SHIPPING: I try to ship all items within 72 hours from receipt of payment, but sometimes due to holidays, weekends, post office closings, and a busy schedule of my own that is not always possible. I do send a notice to buyers as to when the item is shipped.

INSURANCE: Is is included in the shipping and handling fees for US bidders.

REFUNDS: All sales are final. Refunds are ONLY made if there is a significant error in the item description and it is not evident in the photos. Refunds are made for the purchase price ONLY. Shipping fees are not included. For a refund to be made, the item must be returned in the same condition as when it was originally shipped and it must be returned within 7 days of receipt of the item. I do not accept returns due to buyer's remorse, buyer not reading ALL of the description or change of mind. THANKS!:)
