Han Dynasty (206BC - AD220) Chinese Painted Pottery Cacoon Jar. This rounded oblong body is surmounted by a circular neck rising to an everted rim. This jar is painted with mineral pigment in shades of red, white and blue, with graphical cloud motif decoration. This was likely used to store and serve liquid, such as wine.
