This is not a modern print. This etching is more than 130 years old. The strike is crisp and the lines are sharp.
Artist Biography:
Mr. Armstong is known to the public by his drawings in the neighborhood of Exmoor, which where he engraved for the illustrated edition of Mr. Blackmore's novel, Lorna Doone. He had made numerous landscape studies in sepia, with strong effects of atmosphere and light and shade, like the piece above Oxford with its domes and spires.
