Description:

Podranea brycei, or Queen of Sheba Vine is a large, quick-growing, sprawling, vine-like, tropical flowering scrambler shrub native to South Africa. It typically blooms twice a year, in early summer and fall, producing large clusters of showy, fragrant lavender-pink, yellow-throated, bell-shaped flowers followed by long brown seed pods. It's also commonly known as Port St. Johns or Zimbabwe Creeper.

This plant is a fast, aggressive grower that establishes quickly, making it an excellent choice for rapid cover on a fence or other structure. However, be sure to allow ample space, as it can quickly fill an area 20 feet or more within a season or two. Aside from watering and pruning to control size and keep it contained within the desired growing area, Pink Trumpet Vine requires little care.

Care: When mature, plant in fertile, well-draining soil or potting media in a full sun to lightly shaded area. Water as needed to maintain consistent soil moisture, but avoid overwatering. Overly saturated plants will become spotted, weak, thin, and fail to flower as expected. Feed a good quality, slow-release, bloom-boosting fertilizer with the initial planting and annually in spring thereafter. Prune after flowering to control size, shape, and remove seed pods.

It's not well-suited for growing indoors due to its high light needs and rapid growth. However, it can be grown indefinitely in large outdoor garden pots.

Shipping:

eBay Shipping Policy Notes: Due to eBay policy changes, we can no longer hold or delay shipping orders. We also cannot manually combine orders purchased separately or retroactively apply coupons or discounts after checkout. Multiple quantity shipping discount will apply automatically in the cart at checkout.

Please Note: WE DO NOT DROPSHIP. Reselling and ordering with a buyer's shipping address violates eBay policy, misuses our licenses and certifications, and violates State and Federal Agricultural Regulations. We are required by law to report any suspicious activity of this nature to the platforms displaying our listings, search engines, and Agricultural Regulation Enforcement Authorities.

Upon Plant Arrival

Plants should be removed from the packaging the day they are delivered. The moisture gel used to keep the plant hydrated during transit should also be removed and discarded. We recommend repotting 4-inch starter plants into 6 to 10-inch diameter pots, allowing the root zone to mature and grow larger before setting them out into the landscape.
