Difference Between 304 and 316 Stainless Steel:

316 stainless steel contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum, which enhances its resistance to chlorides, saltwater, and harsh chemicals. In contrast, 304 stainless steel has 18% chromium and 8% nickel but lacks molybdenum, making it less resistant to corrosion in challenging environments. This makes 316 stainless steel a better choice for outdoor use, particularly in coastal areas.
