Arlington® BE2 Non-Conductive Box Extender, Double Gang (White)

Arlington’s non-conductive box extenders extend set back metal or non-metallic electrical boxes up to 1-1/2 inches – the easy way! They work for any single gang device and most steel and non-metallic outlet boxes, providing a level, fully supported wiring device that’s flush with the wall surface.

Safety First! When used in steel boxes, the Non-Conductive Box Extenders prevent arcing and shorting by creating a barrier between the box and device screws. Additionally, these non-combustible box extenders deliver a 2-hour fire rating.

Level & Supported – Installation of these gangable box extenders levels and supports the wiring device where the box is set back from the wall. It extends the box up to 1-1/2", and allows you to remedy most coding issues by placing the outlet at the proper depth.

Allows the electrical contractor to comply with NEC 2017 Article 314.20 in Wall or Ceiling. “In walls or ceilings with a surface of concrete, tile, gypsum, plaster, or other non-combustible material, boxes shall be installed so that the front edge of the box will not be set back of the finished surface more than 1/4" (6mm). In walls or ceilings constructed of wood or other combustible material, boxes shall be flush with the finished surface or project therefrom.”
