Selling is a 5" X 7 5/8" Vintage Original AUTOGRAPH  Correspondence Note dated 11/22/75 from IGGIE WOLFINGTON handwritten and signed in red ink with his own hand to PETER HANSON, a well-known movie memorabilia collector.  There is an Art drawing on one side of this Note and I believe this may have been drawn by IGGIE WOLFINGTON himself, but I cannot confirm this information.  (see scan for artwork).  His Autograph is extremely RARE to find for sale.

The back of the Correspondence has a colorful art image on it that I believe may be artwork by IGGIE WOLFINGTON (see product images).

Also included in this listing is a 6 1/8" X 3 1/2" Vintage Original Envelope Clipping of the envelope this Note with Autograph and artwork was mailed in originally. Iggie Wolfington Hand-addressed this envelope in red ink with his own hand.  The envelope clipping provides his personal address.

IGGIE WOLFINGTON was an American stage actor. He was the youngest member of the Wolfington family of Philadelphia, operators of a carriage business early in the 20th century and brother of the founder of Wolfington Body Company in Exton, Pennsylvania. He married Lynn Wood, an actress, in 1972.

Wolfington served with distinction in the 102nd Infantry Division (United States) at the Battle of the Bulge during World War II.   He received a battlefield commission as a first lieutenant.  He was awarded the Silver Star for his role in saving thirty men.  He also received the Purple Heart for wounds he received in battle.  Upon his death he was given full military honors and was allowed to be buried in Arlington Cemetery. 

A life member of The Actors Studio,Wolfington is best known for his role as Marcellus Washburn in the Broadway musical "The Music Man", which earned him a nomination for the 1958 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical.   WOLFINGTON worked in the earliest days of live television, then became a familiar face on popular television shows.

 Autograph  Note with Artwork  and Envelope Clipping are both in Very Good Condition with minimal handling wear.  Great Clarity.
