This is a previously-owned, youth-medium (M / size 10-12), short-sleeved, red ‘SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS’ football T-shirt.  Created in 1993, it measures approximately 16 inches (from underarm seam to underarm seam), about 18 inches from neckline to bottom, and is in good condition (Allison brand, 100% cotton)… This cool NFL shirt was designed by cartoonist Jack Davis, who was inducted into the Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2003. In the ‘50s, he began freelancing for William Gaines’ EC Comics, contributing to Tales from the Crypt, Two-Fisted Tales and The Vault of Horror. He was then tapped by Harvey Kurtzman when Mad Magazine was launched in 1952. The San Francisco 49ers are members of the Western Division of the NFC in the NFL. The team began play in 1946 as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) and joined the NFL in 1950 after the AAFC merged into the older league. The team currently shares the record for most Super Bowl victories (five) with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys and is the only team with more than two appearances with no defeats in the Super Bowl. The 49ers teams of the 1980s and early 1990s are considered to be among the greatest teams in NFL history. Many of the NFL’s greatest players (including Joe Montana, Steve Young, Ronnie Lott and Jerry Rice) played for the 49ers during this period. Additionally, some of the most memorable plays (including “The Catch”) and games (including Super Bowl XIX) were played by the Niners.
