Torques Remote Billet Aluminium Oil Filter Housing In Black TORQROFH

This remote oil filter housing gives maximum flexibility when relocating the oil filer away from the engine. It has four ports - one inlet and one outlet on each side. You can choose to use which ports allow the best routing of oil lines and blank the unused ports with the supplied blanking plugs. 

The filter housing, plugs and adapters are all machined from 6061 billet aluminium and anodised.              
Note:It does not come with the oil filter in the photographs.

There are some simple guidelines to observe when planning the hose connections; 
  • You must use one inlet port and one outlet ports, regardless of which side they are on, otherwise the oil will not circulate through your oil filter. 
  • It is most important the oil flow (from engine) enters the remote filter head at either of the rear ports (closest to the rear mounting face) and  returns via either of the front ports (closest to the rounded end of the filter housing). Failure to observe this guideline will, almost certainly result in engine failure if your oil filter has a one way valve fitted, as most do

The TORQROFH is a true aftermarket item, designed to look good and perform properly. This kit will allow you to have it fitted and connect to your -10AN/JIC oil lines with ease. 
It should be mounted on a flat vertical panel that has access to the back of it to allow the installation and tightening of the fixing bolts. However, it will work at any angle. 
You will need to drill three holes for the 8mm bolts in the mounting panel and have access to allow the bolts to be fitted and tightened, Use a non  permanent thread sealing compound on these bolts to ensure they do not vibrate or work loose. Tighten the bolts to 12Nm. A primer or sealant should be applied to the drilled holes to stop corrosion.  


Important Note

The oil must circulate through your oil filter in the correct direction. The oil feed should enter the remote filter housing via either port closest to the rear mounting surface, and the oil return must exit from either port closest to the front. If in doubt check with your oil filter supplier to ensure you have accounted for the correct oil direction. 
You can now install the blanking plugs and -10AN/JIC adaptors in the ports that work best with oil line routing.  
A new oil filter with 3/4 UNF thread should be fitted, Torques products company make a billet aluminium filter( part number TORQBAOF that is re-usable and is 100% compatible with this kit.
