Ganesh is a popular and well loved Hindu god who has been assimilated into Buddhism.  He is the god of wisdom.  He clears away all obstacles of any nature.  He is often invoked at the beginning of an endeavor to ask for his blessings and to clear the way for grace to step in, and to assure success.

These cute little Ganesh earrings are about 1 1/8" long measuring from the top of the wire.  Ganesh by himself is about 1/2 of an inch high.   

This item comes from Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala, India, home to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government-in-Exile.
