Om Mani Padme Hum, meaning the Jewel Within the Lotus, is the mantra of Avalokiteshvara, the embodiment of universal compassion.  It is said to contain the entire path to enlightenment within it's syllables.  The mantra helps the one who repeats it to achieve a deeper connection with their own divine consciousness.

This pendant is about 2" long including the bale.  Each letter of the mantra is raised and there is bead roping finishing off the edges.

This item comes from Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala, India, home to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government-in-Exile.
