Aurora K&B 1/24 Sportsman Racer 1960s Slot Car NMIB
Here up for sale is an Aurora K&B 1/24 scale Sportsman Racer slot car, near mint in the box from the '60s, with everything original. The car has never been used. The only flaws are a less than 5/8" age-crack at the left rear view of body, and the number stickers have some age-discoloration as shown. I've owned this car for over 15 years and the crack hasn't enlarged at all in that period of time, so it seems to be stable. The gorgeous metallic candy apple red factory finish is in pristine shape. The K&B aluminum chassis features the royal bobcat motor, posi-lok wheels and gear, and a swing weighted pick-up arm.
Includes the original plastic box, which has a one inch crack in the box bottom, and some light scuffs and scratches. The original cardboard box insert is present and has minor surface dirt. The rectangular blue display box which holds the instruction/installation sheet for K&B motors is also present and in fine shape. This box also once held the wheel nut socket wrench, which is the only thing missing from this ready-to-run car. Also includes the instruction sheet for the car, under the box insert. All in all this is a great piece for the Aurora or hot rod collector.
