These data collectors are slightly used but in AMAZING condition. They are software compatible with the Scanpal 2 and are quicker, armored, have a better screen, and keypad. We sell the Scanpal 2 units on Ebay too, but this is like the premium version with more features so if you are tired of dropping the Scanpal 2 and or having it break, please think about this or call us for additional information before making a purchasing decision. This unit also has a wonderful elastic hand strap so that you do not need to worry about dropping it. If you thought that the Scanpal 2 made taking inventory easy then these will make inventory fun! These units are a steal at this price and should last you for years to come.

This unit does include a NEW battery, however Metrologic does not make the batteries for these, the batteries are aftermarket. There is no need to take the battery out at anytime, as we have the batteries being held in by a custom made holder. The batteries run for a LONG time too and these scanners are quite durable-the BEST we ever saw of any manufacturer. In truth, the original batteries are 1800 mAh and ours are 1200 mAh, but will last all day everyday guaranteed and are placed into the unit and shimmed out. Would I use this like this? You bet I would-they are fine and if I did not think so I would not list them like this. These are, in my opinion, the best most durable data collector made-PERIOD.

To install, shut off machine, remove power cord, install into open PCI slot, power on and then install the driver off the included CD. If you prefer to use this as a USB device instead of a serial device, it can be easily adapted in Windows with our FREE serial to USB adapter that we tested and it works GREAT!

We are the ONLY seller offering the Scanpal 2 units in this USB converted format and this is FREE for the asking at no charge. The Scanpal 2 unit is TERRIFIC, the limitation is only the RS232 serial which some computers, mainly newer ones do not have so despite the Scanpals being one of the absolute BEST data collectors made, some cannot use them-UNTIL NOW.

The software has been tested in Windows 7, both 32 and 64 bit as well as Vista and works GREAT. It will install to this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Metrologic Instruments however no icon will appear on the desktop and for that matter, it does not appear in Windows XP either, and installs in C:\Program Files\Metrologic Instruments. There is a learning curve, but not much.

We try to describe our items as accurately and honestly as we can, but sometimes we may overlook something. If something that you think should be included with this item is not listed, please do not assume that it is included in the auction. Before you bid, please contact us from 10-7 Monday through Friday, Eastern Standard Time and ask if there is any question(s) you may have-thanks. Please know what you are bidding on, if you order the wrong part, it is not our fault, but we can work with you for getting the right part, or returning it for a restocking fee depending on the circumstances. We are human and really are seeking repeat customers.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

If for any reason you have to return the item(s) won in this auction, you pay shipping charges to us and we pay shipping charges back to you. If the product is suspected of being defective, and in fact it was not found to be defective, customer pays shipping/handling fee to return the item to them at the same rate of what the auction had listed. As-is items are as-is and there is no refunds as per the auction. Shipping charges are non-refundable under any circumstances unless we made a mistake in which case we will gladly pay shipping both ways and this is at our discretion.
We will replace all guaranteed items with a substitute of equal or greater value at our discretion should a problem arise within the stated warranty period. In the event a substitute cannot be found, we will issue a refund of the purchase price and the shipping that you paid us, but the return shipping charge to ship the item back you must pay for us to process a refund. Shipping damage claims must be submitted within 2 days of receipt of item (no exceptions) and receiver must retain original packaging in order for a claim to be processed by the shipping company and failure to do this will result in the claim being denied by the shipping company and nobody wants this to happen. We will not process warranty claims except for shipping damage claims, until product arrives back at our location for testing by our technicians. Any modifications, disassembly, improper use, neglect, or abuse voids warranty even if the item is still within the stated warranty period. Be advised all products leaving our facility are marked and that our products - not someone else's - must be returned to us for claims. Returns if authorized by us and remember, this is Ebay and as-is means as-is, but if we do authorize a return the refund amount is subject to a 25% restocking fee of the purchase price or $10 minimum restocking fee whichever is greater, shipping is not refundable as stated previously.
