I am the co-author of this cookbook. This is much more than a cookbook; it's a complete produce manual with information on how to plant, pick, prepare and preserve produce.  Artwork on the divider pages and front cover is all original pen and ink drawings by author Elsie Hoover.  The cookbook has over 800 recipes in 34 categories beginning with asparagus and ending with winter squash.  Each section has canning and freezing information for that vegetable.  There is also a basic fruit canning guide in the back of the book.  The complete, double referenced index, makes recipes easy to find.  This is the cookbook every gardener will want in their kitchen.
