Audio Authority originally introduced the 09770TPO Coaxial to TOSLink Optical Digital Audio Converter as a replacement for the well-respected Model 977TPO. The published description and specs were essentially identical to the original product, but the new model was not as well received in the marketplace as the original, so Audio Authority eventually freshened the original design and re-introduced it with the original model number.

Now, if you want the feeling that comes with owning the very well-respected model, we have that product listed here, but if your main interest is in buying a good digital audio converter at a great price, the 09770TPO is going to be hard to beat. This model originally sold at retail for $75.00, so at our close-out price, the 09770TPO really is quite the bargain!

The OEM of this device has built similar-looking models for other companies, so you may very well find those products scattered around the Internet at a wide range of prices, but the beauty of the Audio Authority version is that it comes with the Audio Authority's excellent support and warranty. Like most Audio Authority products, the Model 09770TPO comes with a one year limited warranty.

Many digital audio components cannot be connected (digitally) to one another because different manufacturers use different input/output formats (TosLink®/Optical or Coax). Audio Authority's Model 977 Series solves the problem by allowing you to convert digital signals from Coax to Optical or vice versa. The 977T (Transmitter) converts a Coax signal to an Optical signal. No matter what type of digital audio, Audio Authority can make it work.

USPS Priority Mail
Air service that provides 1 to 3 day delivery to US addresses. It includes basic tracking information as well as Delivery Confirmation. Saturday delivery is included at no additional charge.

Premium air service that provides overnight delivery to most (but not all) US addresses. Better tracking and faster delivery than Priority Mail. Saturday delivery is included at no additional charge.

USPS First Class Mail
Economy service for items weighing less than 13 ounces and valued at less than $200. This service is typically a day slower than priority mail and since scanning is optional, the tracking is of limited value.

UPS Ground

International Shipping Options

Priority Mail Express International (EMS)
Our preferred international shipping method for all international shipments because it offers the best tracking as well as the fastest and most dependable delivery.

Priority Mail International
Available for items under $300 in value. Cost is somewhat lower, although delivery is typically slower and tracking is less reliable than PMEI.

First Class Mail International
Economy service for items weighing less than 4 pounds and valued at under $200. This is the least expensive international shipping option, but the savings comes at the expense of tracking - scanning not mandatory, so this service does not provide reliable tracking information, and the post office will not trace delayed or lost packages.

Keep in mind that eBay's transit time estimates are from the US Postal Service. The total transit time to your address can be affected by circumstances in your own country, such as delays at your local customs office, or cases where no one is available to receive the delivery.

Warranty

Manufacturer's Warranty Statement

Should any consumer product manufactured by Audio Authority fail due to defects in materials or workmanship within one year from the date of the original sale to the end-user, Audio Authority guarantees that we will replace the defective product at no cost. Freight charges for the replacement unit will be paid by Audio Authority (Ground service only). A copy of the invoice from an Authorized Reseller showing the item number and date of purchase (proof-of-purchase) must be submitted with the defective unit to constitute a valid in-warranty claim.

Units that fail after the warranty period has expired may be returned to the factory for repair at a nominal charge, if not damaged beyond the point of repair. All freight charges for out-of-warranty returns for repair are the responsibility of the customer. Units returned for repair must have a Return Authorization Number assigned by the factory.

This is a limited warranty and is not applicable for products which, in our opinion, have been damaged (including lightning, water, fire, etc.), altered, abused, misused, or improperly installed. Audio Authority makes no other warranties either expressed or implied, including limitation warranties as to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Additionally, there are no allowances or credits available for service work or installation performed in the field by the end user.

USA Customers

Audio Authority typically does a very fine job of handling warranty issues, but if you prefer to deal with Cable Solutions, we will be pleased to handle the matter for you.

International Customers

Please notice that most of our electronic equipment carries a USA warranty, so all international warranty issues must be handled by Cable Solutions. This means that you must return the item to Cable Solutions for all warranty repair or replacement issues. You will be responsible for all shipping/handling expenses.

All Customers

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required for all returns handled by Cable Solutions. Please contact us for authorization and instructions.

Return Policy

Defective Merchandise

Defective merchandise will be repaired or replaced as described above.

Non-defective Merchandise

All non-defective returns are subject to restocking fees. Here are some examples of the fees:

Un-opened merchandise

All un-opened returns are subject to a 10% (minimum) restocking fee.

Opened merchandise

B-Stock or "open box" electronic devices - 15% (minimum)

New electronic devices - 20% (minimum)

Manufactured cables that are packaged in a reusable container - 15% (minimum)

Manufactured cables that are packaged in a non-reusable container - 20% (minimum)

Shipping/handling fees are not refundable and you will be responsible for all shipping/handling expenses related to the return. In the case of items with "free shipping", customary shipping/handling fees will be added to your restocking fees.

In order to qualify for the rates shown above, we must receive your return within the first 14 days following the day you receive your order. In cases where the item is returned incomplete, or in less than perfect condition, we will evaluate the restocking fees on a case by case basis.
