Sir Henry Hesketh Bell (1864 - 1952) British Colonial Administrator

A pair of 1900 autograph letters signed "H. Hesketh Bell", both to the magazine "Commerce" and dated September 27th and October 7th 1900. Both are on "The Sports Club St James' Square S.W." stationery and written whilst in London during a break from his post as Administrator of Dominica. The first is in regard to fixing a date for an interview for the magazine, the second is returning a copy of the interview and enclosing a photograph for the piece (neither enclosure present), and requesting 6 copies of the paper when available. Both 4 pages with ms. on two sides, internal two pages blank.

Approx. 113x180mm., some staining and spotting in places, though most visible on the face.
