A finely painted Georgian portrait miniature of an elegant young lady holding a veil, attributed to Anne Mee, circa 1810.

The portrait is executed in watercolor on wafer and retains its original gilt metal surround. The miniature itself measures approximately 3 3/4” x 2 7/8”. The later outer frame measures approximately 6 1/8” x 5 3/8”.

The sitter is beautifully rendered with dark curling hair, delicate jewelry and a translucent veil, with the refined coloring and finish associated with fashionable British miniature portraiture of the Regency period.

Condition appears excellent overall, with no visible damage to the portrait. The later frame shows minor age-related wear. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.
