Vintage Alfred Meakin Royal Marigold large oval serving platter, dating from the Art Deco period circa 1930s.

A lovely substantial English serving/meat platter in a warm cream glaze, decorated around the shaped rim with colourful orange and yellow flowers, grey foliage, green highlights and distinctive black geometric detailing.

Marked to the reverse “Alfred Meakin England – Royal Marigold.”

A beautiful piece of colourful 1930s tableware which displays particularly well and would suit an Art Deco, vintage or eclectic interior.

Condition: Good vintage condition overall. There is age-related glaze crazing throughout, together with some light surface/utensil marks and small signs of previous use. No obvious chips or cracks noted. Please study all photographs as these form an important part of the condition description.
