For sale is a beautiful, traditional Japanese wooden Noh mask depicting "Sanbaso" (also known as Okina / Sanban-so), a sacred and celebratory character in Noh and Kyogen theaters symbolizing longevity, prosperity, and a good harvest.
The mask features exquisite hand-carving with intricate detailing on the forehead decorations, gentle eyes, and characteristic grin.  Real hair is used for the beard on the chin, adding an authentic touch to this vintage piece.  The reverse side shows stunning, visible chisel marks from the artisan's hand-carving process, highlighting the high craftsmanship and organic beauty of the wood.
The handcrafted 220 grams wood mask is approx. 18.7cm (3 3/8") long excluding the beard by 13.8cm (5 7/16") wide.  It is approx. 30cm (11 13/16") long including the beard.
The mask is in good overall vintage condition with signs of age and wear.  There are small marks, a nick(s), scuff(s), dust, etc.  No major cracks or deep structural damage.  Please examine all of the photographs carefully to determine the overall condition and the quality of the woodwork, design, etc.

Duties and Taxes Information

UNITED STATES BUYERS:  In accordance with eBay policy, all import duties and custom clearance fees have been included in the shipping price.  There are no import duties or custom clearance fees upon delivery.

EU BUYERS:  All items have a mandatory 3 customs duty that will be charged on all e-commerce packages sent from Japan.  This fee may be applied per item.  However, you may still have to pay neccessary customs duties, and other related fees.

There are 3 methods of paying the fees.  They are Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP), Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) and Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU).  We will ship packages by JAPAN POST but it uses DDU which is not accepted by some EU countries.  We will use SpeedPAK to EU countries such as Germany that demand PDDP or DDP.  SpeedPAK is a little more expensive.
