Rare vintage professional automobile emblem manufactured by Spencer Industries Incorporated of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This mid-century automotive accessory features raised “DDS” lettering with a central caduceus medical symbol, identifying the vehicle owner as a Doctor of Dental Surgery / dentist.
The emblem is presented as new old stock (NOS) based on its original boxed condition and lack of observed installation wear. It remains with its original Spencer Industries “Weather Resistant Professional Auto Emblem” box and fitted black insert — an especially desirable addition for collectors of vintage automobilia, medical advertising, dental memorabilia, and professional identification badges.

MATERIALS
Silver-tone metal backplate with separately applied copper / bronze / brass-tone metal lettering and emblem. Exact metal composition has not been laboratory tested or otherwise confirmed.
CONDITION
Vintage new old stock / unused appearance with original box and insert. The emblem shows light age-related surface marks, oxidation / patina and minor storage wear consistent with decades of storage. No obvious evidence of prior automobile installation was observed.
The original cardboard box has expected age and storage wear including discoloration, spotting, edge and corner wear, small creases and minor paper loss. The original Spencer Industries paper label remains present and legible.
