Description:
A pair of vintage Carrigaline Pottery Co. Ltd. plates from Cork, Ireland, each measuring approx. 15 cm in diameter. Shaped in the form of a shamrock leaf with gilt edging, these plates feature hand-coloured transfer scenes of Irish country life:

Both plates are bordered with shamrock sprays, celebrating Irish heritage and craftsmanship.

Condition: Both plates are vintage and pre-owned. They show light age and display-related wear, including some surface marks and crazing, but no chips, cracks, or repairs. Present very well for their age.

Maker History: Carrigaline Pottery Co. Ltd. was founded in 1928 in County Cork and operated until the late 1970s. It became famous for producing Irish souvenir ware, often decorated with shamrocks, castles, and folk motifs, making their pieces cherished mementos of Ireland worldwide.
