The Rolleicord Vb Type 2 is a classic German-made twin-lens reflex medium format camera from Rollei, introduced in the mid-1960s. It uses 120 roll film, producing 12 large 6x6cm square negatives, and is fitted with the highly regarded Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 75mm f/3.5 taking lens. The Xenar is a four-element design known for excellent sharpness, contrast and classic medium-format rendering. The camera features a Synchro-Compur leaf shutter with speeds from 1 second to 1/500 second plus Bulb, flash synchronisation, waist-level viewing and a removable finder hood/focusing screen. The Vb was the final Rolleicord design and offers a slightly simpler, lighter alternative to the Rolleiflex while retaining the excellent build quality and handling for which Rollei TLR cameras are renowned.
The camera is in good overall condition and presents well for its age. There are expected paint scuffs, edge wear, and signs of use consistent with a well-cared-for vintage camera.
However the camera is in need of a service as the shutter sppeds are slow and sticking. Could also benefit with a internal clean of optics as possible fungus.
Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description and show the condition and accessories included. The camera is supplied exactly as shown in the images.
