This is a very detailed original old map issued by the famous Airey, undated but definitely from the 1888 series , it was one of the series of victorian railway reference maps . These were the fore runners of the Railway Clearing House junction system maps which took over C1895 , the role of supplying detailed area maps for the Railway industry and its many employees . This one covers an interesting section with all the stations +Junctions - and a host of other features  .It involves all of the different old 19thC railway companies with sections of the lines as per photo two , with many varied stations both goods & passenger with  destinations plus milage figures and much more .NOTE of special interest the complicated interchange at Gloucester Road  . Most interesting detailed area analysis . Some usage wear to left edge , outside of the border  . Lines of that time are depicted with differing colours + the joint running lines .NOTE of special interest the complex junctions on the LB&SCR   . This is not a reprint but an original working map of almost 135 years of age . This rare old reference map will be dispatched in a firm card tube for protection .
