Vintage Framed Embroidery Needlepoint Folk Art Wedding Anniversary York 90s .
Embroidery depicts the 50th wedding anniversary in 1998 of "D&K", married at St Edward The Confessor, Dringhouses (York) on 7th August 1948 and features flowers, love hearts, the church, wedding bells, stars, trees, birds, dogs and folk people and is initialled by the artist, 'EAC'. So, so cute !
Embroidery has likely been machine, rather than hand-stitched, given the uniformity in stitches.
Embroidery has been professionally framed at York Rose Framing (York) in an ornate floral carved frame, although the tape on the back is starting to lift off slightly, just through where the adhesive has degraded with age, so you might want to get something to stick it back down !
Might appeal to someone interested in York/ York history.
