Box Levitation 360.   A single person illusion.

The magician freely displays a cardboard box. The  front and back of the box are open so The audience can clearly see that the box is completely empty. The box is set on the ground inside of a aluminum frame with curtains. The performer steps inside of the box and raises the aluminum frame. He raises the frame all the way so that his feet can clearly be seen inside of the box. The frame is now lowered so is that the bottom of the curtains are touching the floor. Now the performer begins to rise while he is inside of the box. The inside of the box can clearly be seen while the performer is levitating. The performer slowly decends back down to the floor. The curtain is then set back onto the floor.

This illusion can be performed 360 degrees for street performers. Or on a stage. 

The cardboard box measures approximately 20 inches high.  Approximately 21 inches wide by 25 inches deep. 

It is strongly recommended that this illusion not be performed in a living room or at close quarters. This is primarily a parlor, stage or street performance effect.  Completely portable, minimal set up.

There are four curtains. Each curtain is velcroed. So that if desired they can be completely separated on all four sides. Although there is really no reason to take the curtains apart.  I have performed this effect for years and I never had to take the curtains apart.

It can be performed to music, or as part of a talking routine.

Although this illusion is mechanical, practice is definitely needed to perform it smoothly.  Please do not purchase this illusion and expect to perform it in a couple of days.  It takes a lot of practice and a lot of getting used to. A 20 year old can perform this effect, as well as a 75 year old, however, take the time that is needed to practice it. 

This is an illusion. Not a magic trick that can be immediately performed. It requires a bit of setting up. Not much time, but about  5 minutes of set up in private before the performance.

This effect is similar in the working of the Paul Daniels Box Levitation. But it is not the exact same.

If desired, the performer can take a knife and poke holes in the sides of the box during  the performance to further show that it is a normal cardboard box.  But this is not necessary.

This version listed is basically the same, however there are differences from the Paul Daniels model.

Please note that there are You Tube videos that attempt to expose this effect. These videos are completely false and incorrect. The method that they claim is not how this effect is done.
