For sale is an antique, Late Victorian sterling silver swallow bird brooch. It is English hallmarked for the maker P&CO, with the Birmingham assay mark and the date letter for 1897. The brooch weighs approximately 2.4 grams and measures 4cm in length. There are three surface holes on the back, which are likely manufacturing remnants. The pin is firm and secure inside its C-clasp.
I have not cleaned this item and will leave that decision to the buyer, allowing them to preserve its natural patina if they wish.
