Independent T.V. – What it will be like and how you can get it, 1955 Leaflet.
An interesting six-page fold-out leaflet that was issued in the summer of 1955 by Associated-Rediffusion Ltd and Associated Broadcasting Company Ltd – The Programme Companies for the London Area. It is titled Independent T.V… What it will be like and how you can get it. After an introduction, there are thirteen questions (that now we would know as FAQ’s, but they hadn’t thought of that phrase then). All very interesting and informative. It is not specifically dated but it refers to September (the first broadcasts were in the last week of the month) as being in the fairly near future and advises what you will need to do to be ready. The leaflet is in good clean condition with no rips or writing.
