…… This book once contained 360 pages, sadly 2 pages 313-314, and 335-336 are missing. Also the foldout engraving on page 207 is incomplete. Lastly the frontage page which features an engraving of Olaudah Equiano has soiling, some wear to his nose and tears along the edges. Even with these issues this book is such a rare and important example we decided to list it anyway.
….. Measuring 4 ¼” by 6 ½” by 1 1/4” and as you can see the boards have heavy wear and the spine has been repaired a few times and lastly the pages are loose. On the inside of the back cover is some hand written provenance to the previous owner “Spavold Taylor his book presented him by Richard Taylor 1805” also on the inside front cover is hand written “On the inside cover is marked “Robert Crozer Tayler’s Property 7th Month 11 1813.” We tried to identify these men with no luck. Shipping costs explained:
This item is figured for a 5.00 x 10.00 x 10.00, 1.00 lb box and ships from the 02864 zip code. (please feel free to compare rates on UPS & PO websites.) We do NOT make a profit off of shipping and try our hardest to charge only exact costs, based on eBay's provided shipping calculator. Please be aware that we fully insure every irreplaceable item we ship, so an additional fee will be added at check-out based on the final value of the auction. We require signature-delivery on all items valued at over $250, which entails an additional $6 fee. As stated above, we DO NOT profit from shipping costs; however, we DO take extra care in properly & professionally packing every one-of-a-kind item we sell!
After you win an auction:
eBay requires that we post tracking information within 24 hours of receiving payment. If there is any reason that your item should not be shipped immediately (Pick-up, Delivery, or Still Buying) Please DO NOT pay until you have received a local pickup invoice! If you have WON MULTIPLE AUCTIONS and would like them shipped together, DO NOT pay until you have contacted us and received an updated invoice. (Not all items can be shipped safely together, but we will gladly combine shipping when possible.)
If you are picking up your item(s) in person:
A delivery or pick-up date must be scheduled within 30 days of the auction closing. After this 30-day period, a storage fee ($20 per day) will be applied. Any items stored for more than 6 months will be re-listed.
Making payment:
Payments must be received within 4 days after the close of the auction. If payment or contact from the buyer isn't received within 4 days, the transaction will be canceled as "buyer did not pay." If you need to make arrangements for delayed payment, we can work with you, just contact us!
Sales Tax:
Online market facilitators such as eBay must collect and remit sales taxes for online purchases in some states. eBay will add the sales tax at checkout, collect the tax from the buyer, and remit it to the state. This tax is NOT implemented by the seller, and we cannot remove or alter this tax during eBay checkout. Resellers can file a copy of your sales tax ID with eBay, then sales tax will no longer appear on any future invoices.
Shipping requirements:
We can only ship to the address listed on your eBay invoice. If you have a special address to which your item needs to be shipped, it must be reflected on your invoice BEFORE you check-out. We can no longer edit buyer's addresses if they check out with a PO Box so if your item is too large for USPS please make sure you check out with a Physical Street Address listed!
All items that sell for over $250 will require a signature upon delivery.
US Buyers: The shipping calculator on the auction is an estimate, and actual charges will be figured at the close of each auction. Our standard method of shipping is UPS ground; however, if you prefer USPS, this is also an option. Any item that sells for over $250 must be sent with a signature required, and if you choose USPS, it will be shipped via express mail.
International buyers: You may incur a brokerage and customs fee upon delivery. The winning bidder is responsible for the cost of shipping and all customs charges. We WILL NOT LIE on customs forms. This is illegal and against eBay’s policies. All items that sell for over $250 are sent via express mail.
Freight Items: If this item is listed as Freight, please click "Contact the Seller" and send us your zip code or country code. We will send you an accurate shipping/packing quote before the end of the auction. Most freight items are still shipped via UPS Ground; however, we can also provide blanket-wrap shippers who can pick items up for a more reasonable price, but receiving the item will be delayed. Be sure to message us for quotes so that you know how much this will cost before bidding
Local Pick-up & Delivery: You are ALWAYS welcome to schedule a time to pick up your items in person for free from our location in Cumberland! But you must contact us BEFORE paying so we can send a local-pickup invoice. We also offer a FREE Delivery on items if you are able to meet us along our travel route! We travel weekly up to Southern New Hampshire and bi-weekly down to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Contact us for details about available delivery stops. Remember, DO NOT PAY until you have received a local pickup invoice with no shipping costs!
If your item arrives damaged:
If your item arrives with an issue, you must save ALL materials and boxes so we can file a damage claim! Please send photographs of the damage, the materials, the outside of the box and the shipping label. We will start the claim process quickly! Once the damage claim is approved, we will send you a full refund and await the funds from the carrier on our end. Failure to save all materials, give the necessary information, and supply photographs required for us to make the damage claim will effect your refund.
Returning an item:
We give a 100% unconditional money-back guarantee as to the age, quality, condition and authentic! If you have any problem whatsoever, we will gladly accept the item back for a full refund.
