Lovely 15 million years old fossil sharks tooth from the classic Lee Creek Miocene phosphate mine at Aurora, North Carolina USA.
This is probably Otodus chubutensis due to presence of pronounced side cusps, but quite megalodon in tooth shape, possibly a juvenile. You can decide!
The tooth has beautifully shiny enameloid and the serrations are outstanding.
The mine has been closed for some years so these teeth are keenly sought after… good luck!
