⭐ Authentic Japanese Pokémon Card

This is the iconic Mew (No.151) promotional card distributed with Monthly CoroCoro Comic February 1997.

Known worldwide by collectors as “Lily Mew” or “Lily Pad Mew,” it is one of the most recognizable vintage Japanese Pokémon promos ever released.

Illustrated by legendary Pokémon designer Ken Sugimori, this beautiful artwork has become a centerpiece of many vintage Pokémon collections.

Why Collectors Love This Card

🌿 The Original “Lily Mew”

Featuring Mew peacefully resting on a lily pad, this artwork has become one of the most beloved illustrations in Pokémon TCG history.

Its nostalgic design and historical significance make it one of the defining Japanese vintage promos.

✨ Exclusive Glossy Finish

Unlike the later JR East Stamp Rally version, this original CoroCoro release features a distinctive Glossy finish, giving the artwork a richer appearance that collectors highly appreciate.

🏆 Condition Matters

Although millions of magazines were printed, most copies were owned by children and removed directly from magazines.

Because of edge wear, scratches, peeling, and age-related glossy coating issues, well-preserved copies are increasingly difficult to find.

Condition: HP (Heavily Played)

The condition has been evaluated conservatively based on eBay’s official trading card condition guidelines.

This is the Glossy CoroCoro Comic promo version, not the regular-finish JR East version with the same artwork.

Considering its age, the card shows significant overall wear from handling and play, including surface scratches/scuffs, edge wear, whitening, and general signs of use on both sides.

Despite this wear, the front still retains its distinctive glossy finish and attractive overall appearance when viewed straight-on.

Please note two important condition points:

  • A faint crease/bend line runs horizontally across the card. It is difficult to notice in a straight-on view but becomes visible under angled lighting.
  • There is also a curved/circular pressure indentation below the “LV.8 / HP40” area on the front.

Both areas are intentionally highlighted in the dedicated “Points to Check” image because they can be difficult to see in the standard front photo.

Due primarily to these structural condition points, together with the overall age-related wear, we have conservatively classified this card as HP rather than MP.

Please carefully review all photos, especially the “Points to Check” image, and make your purchase decision with a full understanding of the characteristics and disclosed condition of this vintage glossy card.

A well-loved vintage CoroCoro Mew that still retains its beautiful glossy character and strong front presentation despite clearly disclosed wear and structural condition points.
