CPD Series Ultrasonic Flow Sensors

Measurement Principle: Ultrasonic time-of-flight method; non-contact clamp-on design; clamped to the outside of rigid plastic tubing; uses upstream and downstream piezoelectric (PZT) crystals to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves; calculates volumetric flow rate based on the time difference between the upstream and downstream propagation of the waves.

Measurable Liquids: Water, chemical solutions, oil, grinding fluids, etc. The medium must not contain large solid particles or air bubbles.

Calibration: Factory default calibration using water at 22°C ± 3°C.

Sensor Housing: Plastic.

Liquid Temperature: 0°C–70°C.

Ambient Temperature: 0°C–60°C.

Storage Temperature: –20°C–70°C.

Operating humidity: 10%–90% RH (non-condensing).

Protection rating: IP65.

Mounting method: Threaded mounting.

Top cover bolt torque: 35***** recommended for CPD025NB; 45***** recommended for CPD035NB, CPD050NB, CPD075NB, and CPD100NB.
