A museum-grade, remarkably complete antique 1926 bottle of "Pond's Extract"
(Vegetable Heating Extract / Witch Hazel). Clinton, Conn.
Formulated as a reliable household remedy
since 1846, this grouping is a1920s time-capsule.
1. A clear, heavy glass bottle featuring deep, embossed lettering reading "POND'S EXTRACT" on the side and "1846" on the bottom. The bottle remains fully filled with its original amber liquid extract,
sealed by its original cork.
2. Rare, primitive two-piece corrugated paperboard shipping tube sleeve.
Features a detailed dark lithograph landscape graphic of the historic factory laboratories based out of
Clinton, Connecticut, U.S.A. Top lip is printed with "Price 50 Cents / Net Weight 6 Ozs."
3. The Ephemera Insert: Original fold-out instructional paper advertising pamphlet. Features
the historic slogan: "Standard for over Eighty Years" (dating the piece to 1926).
Bottle is 5 3/4 inches tall.
Excellent vintage condition. Paper strap label over cork is partial. Paper label has corner chip. Paper sleeve has no top or bottom. Sold strictly as a historical artifact; not for use. Please see photos for condition.
