Published in 1943, this is the First Edition of this classic collection of ghost stories from Richard Henry Malden (1879-1951), this example retaining its first state dustjacket designed by Rowland Hilder, the jacket is price clipped with some browning, mildly chipped at spine ends, short edge tear and creasing with no loss to lower edge of back panel. Internally mild bubbling to pastedowns else contents in good clean condition. A nice example of the First Edition
