Our brand story - a family heritage:
Each piece in the JS Vintage Beads collection comes from a family heritage first established by my great-grandfather, James Janes, who travelled to America in 1913 to study gemmology before returning to London to import precious and semi-precious stones, beads, and objets d’art during the Art Nouveau and early Art Deco periods. His materials were supplied to leading retailers and makers, including Liberty and Mappin & Webb.
Please message me with any questions — I’m always happy to help.
I have a large and varied inventory, and not all items are currently listed in my shop. If you are looking for a particular piece of jewellery, bead, or gemstone, please do message me and I will be very happy to see if I have anything suitable.
Country of origin unknown. 'United Kingdom' selected in item specifics because the item forms part of an inherited UK collection and no original country of origin can be verified.
