Patience Strong (pen name of Winifred Emma May) was an English poet, who lived from 1907 - 1990 and wrote about everyday nature and simple pleasures, celebrating the changing seasons, gardens, flowers and the beauty to be found in quiet corners of the countryside.

Condition of the embroidery itself is used but very good. The frame (also vintage) is damaged at the base and you may wish to repair or replace (see photos).
