    Built-in variable density filter: ND2 – ND256 (1-8 stops)

    The dial on the adapter is a built-in 10-stop variable ND filter that allows you to control the amount of light coming from the lens by quickly turning the dial. Ideal for videos as you can shoot in bright daylight with a shallow depth of field. You can also switch from bright to dark places and adjust the light on the fly using the adapter.

    Like all adapters in the Fotodiox Pro series, these adapters were specifically developed for professional use. The leaf spring design in the adapter holds the lens firmly to the camera body and ensures there is no play between the camera and the lens. The all-metal design and polished surface are intended to ensure smooth installation and a long-lasting experience. Thanks to its unique design, the lens mount adapter ensures a professional appearance. Although the lens physically fits, the auto iris, auto focus, or other features will not function properly when using this adapter. For this reason, “stop-down mode” must be used when measuring, as the lens aperture cannot be controlled by the camera body. You can shoot in manual mode or aperture priority mode. Infinity focusing is guaranteed.

  • • Since this is a manual adapter, lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted.
  • • Focus-By-Wire lenses (such as Canon's STM or Nikon's AF-P) require power to activate the manual focus rings on the lens. Because manual lens adapters do not provide power to the lens, these lenses cannot focus.
  • • Set your exposure manually or using your camera's aperture priority (stop) mode.
  • • If your lens does not have a manual aperture ring, the lens aperture will reset to its default position, which will either be stopped down to its maximum aperture stop or opened to its smallest aperture stop, depending on the lens.
