This beautiful vintage bracelet is made of English sterling silver and is fully hallmarked. It has a curb link chain connected by a padlock clasp in the shape of a heart with a fine link safety chain. Perfect for attaching charms or wearing on its own.
The workable heart padlock clasp has a key hole and lock engravings but was not intended to work with a key. The padlock instead opens by depressing the lever on the top with your thumb which releases the end of the lever inside the heart. Then it snaps back shut when you push the lever back inside.
The bracelet measures approximately 7 inches long and weighs approximately 14 grams. The back of the padlock is marked “Silver” along with the makers mark “GJ Ltd.” The links are periodically marked with the Lion Passant. Which is Britain’s hallmark for Sterling Silver. About the middle of the bracelet are additional hallmarks indicating that the bracelet was made in London in 1992.
