This is a vintage Japanese wooden bear carving from Hokkaido, presented with its original wooden base.
It is a traditional folk art sculpture, well known as a representative craft of Hokkaido.

There is a carved signature on the bottom of the bear.

Condition

Due to its vintage condition, there are visible scratches, discoloration, surface wear, and several age-related cracks.
