Miniature Portrait Madame Elisabeth After Vigée Le Brun
An early 20th-century hand-painted portrait miniature depicting Madame Élisabeth of France, sister of King Louis XVI.
The portrait is based on the painting of Madame Élisabeth created by Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun around 1782.
It is painted on a thin panel mounted with convex glass in an ornate oval gilt-metal frame with a Greek key border and hanging loop.
The miniature bears a small signature which appears to read “Droy”. The reverse is inscribed
