Description

A substantial vintage hand-thrown studio pottery jug featuring a softly rounded body, shaped pouring spout and elegant loop handle.

The jug is finished in a muted grey-blue glaze with contrasting brown iron decoration around the shoulder, giving it an attractive understated studio pottery appearance.

Visible throwing rings and natural variations in the glaze reflect its handmade construction. The base carries an incised potter’s mark, although the maker has not currently been identified.

At approximately 19 cm tall and weighing around 1 kg, this is a substantial decorative and functional piece, ideal as a water jug, flower vase or display piece.
