Description

A striking large hand-blown ruby red art glass bottle in the Empoli style, complete with an elegant clear glass stopper. Standing an impressive 63 cm tall, this sculptural piece makes a stunning statement and is perfect for Mid-Century Modern, contemporary or eclectic interiors.

The bottle features a beautiful optic moulded design, with a subtle diamond pattern visible through the base and delicate vertical optic waves running through the body, creating superb light reflections. The ground and polished pontil mark confirms its hand-blown manufacture.

Although reminiscent of classic Italian Empoli glass from the 1960s and 1970s, no maker’s label or signature is present, so it is offered as Empoli style.

Condition

Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs to the bottle.

The clear glass stopper is included with the bottle; however, it is believed to be a later replacement rather than the original stopper supplied with the piece. It displays beautifully and fits securely.
