Striking flat-back parrot wall pocket, about 7 inches long. Modeled as a perching Eastern Rosella or similar Australian parrot with cobalt blue head and tail, deep green wing, bold orange-yellow breast band, mint-green belly, and taupe flight feathers. Open hanging slot on the back for mounting. Unglazed bisque base with impressed maker's mark. The glazework has a rich, jewel-like quality — deep saturated colors with an iridescent sheen in places. Wall pockets are a very active collecting category right now, especially bird-form examples, and the color palette on this one is exceptional — it reads as both mid-century kitsch and genuinely beautiful decorative art. These display beautifully on a gallery wall or as a standalone piece with a few stems tucked in.
