Antique Noritake bon bon dish with pierced lug handles, bearing the green "M in wreath" Morimura backstamp — this mark dates the piece to approximately 1911–1940, the pre-war Morimura Brothers era. Yellow lusterware border with hand-painted pink roses in white cartouche reserves, black and gold floral medallions between, and gold trim throughout. About 6 inches across the handles. This is a lovely, highly displayable early Noritake piece. The yellow lusterware ground, hand-painted rose motif, and pierced handles are all hallmarks of their most collectible export ware from this period.
