For sale is a handcrafted signed Ichii-Itto-Bori (Japanese yew wood) mask of the Noh character "Koomote" in good overall condition.

The 21.5cm (8 7/16") long, 13.2cm (5 1/5") wide and 150 grams wood mask has small nicks, a minor scuff(s), mark(s), wear, dust, etc.

The Japanese Ichii-Itto-Bori mask artisan etched his name into the back of the wood mask.  We are unable to read the calligraphy.

Ichii-Itto-Bori is a very old Japanese traditional carving style using chisels only to hand carve or cut the Japanese yew wood.

After the Japanese yew wood was hand carved using chisels only, it was aged, and then a traditional shellac was applied.

Please search "Noh Koomote meaning" and "Ichii-Itto-Bori" for more information on the character and the carving style.

UNITED STATES BUYERS:  In accordance with eBay policy, all import duties and custom clearance fees have been included in the shipping price.  There are no import duties or custom clearance fees upon delivery.

EU BUYERS:  All items have a mandatory €3 customs duty that will be charged on all e-commerce packages sent from Japan.  This fee is applied per item.  However, you may still have to pay neccessary customs duties, and other related fees.  Before bidding, please let us know if your country uses Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP), Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) or Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU).  We want to ship all packages by JAPAN POST but it uses DDU so it is not accepted in some EU countries.  We will use SpeedPAK to EU countries that demand PDDP or DDP.
