Description
This is a full set of 8 traditional kokeshi dolls crafted by Japanese artisan Tokujiro Ishikawa (1915–2005).
These pieces were made in 1983, when he was 68 years old.
Each doll represents the Yajirou style, known for its vivid colors, tall bodies, and distinctive hand-painted faces.
Though there are minor signs of aging such as discoloration, fading, and small stains, overall they are in good condition for pieces made over 30 years ago.
They make a wonderful display for collectors and those who appreciate Japanese folk art.
