Antique sterling silver clothes brush with raised floral and scroll repoussé decoration. Central cartouche is engraved with an apparent “M.W.D.” monogram and dated “Dec. 1897.”

The 6 oz is total weight, not net sterling weight. It includes the brush body, bristles and sterling silver outer shell. The shell would need to be removed to obtain an exact silver weight, which could damage the item and reduce its collectible value.
